Medical representatives from Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital met their Danish colleagues from the Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital in Copenhagen

The international medical partnership initiative launched at the third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen continues to work. In April 2024 representatives of the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital, General Director Kateryna Savinova and Medical Director Yevhen Slepov, visited the Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital in Copenhagen. They signed a memorandum of cooperation with this hospital in November 2023.

The Ukrainian representatives got acquainted with the work of the departments of plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, oncohematology and some others, visited the department of paediatrics and adolescent medicine, and also the test house where a new design of the children’s hospital is being tested.

At the meeting, they discussed communication and a playful approach to children and adolescents in health issues, the role, and autonomy of the nurse in decision-making, conducted training and mutual discussions on rehabilitation, and discussed plans for further cooperation.
