Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen Global Platform launches a communication campaign for Mental Health Awareness Month
- Global Platform
May is marked worldwide as Mental Health Awareness Month. For the third year running, the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen Global Platform is launching a campaign to bring together First Ladies and Gentlemen, partners, and wider audiences to highlight the importance of mental well-being.
This year’s campaign focuses on the “delayed life syndrome” — a psychological pattern in which people repeatedly postpone caring for themselves, seeing it as untimely or secondary. With the support of First Ladies and Gentlemen from 10 countries, the Global Platform aims to show that self-care is always timely, and that even small actions can make a meaningful difference to quality of life.
As part of the campaign, First Ladies and Gentlemen, together with partner organisations, will explore the idea of delayed life in both theory and practice — through shared insights and personal stories. The campaign will run under the slogan “If not now — then when?”.
Follow the campaign on our Instagram and Facebook pages and join the conversation.
