On 15 November, the First Gentleman of Slovenia, Dr Aleš Musar, together with representatives of the Slovenian organisation ITF Enhancing Human Security, visited the Superhumans National Center for War Trauma.

He met with patients who shared their stories of injury and recovery, and expressed his support for Ukrainians who have been wounded as a result of Russia’s war. The First Gentleman of Slovenia also took part in the opening of a climbing wall at the Superhumans rehabilitation centre.

This was not the first high-level visit from Slovenia: in July 2024, the President of the country, Nataša Pirc Musar, visited the Superhumans Center.

Dr Aleš Musar regularly joins visits by ITF Enhancing Human Security to different countries, including Ukraine. In September 2024, for instance, he visited Izmail, where a psychological support programme for schoolchildren was launched under the coordination of the Slovenian organisation.

ITF Enhancing Human Security is a Slovenian governmental humanitarian organisation specialising in demining and post-conflict reconstruction. It cooperates with the Superhumans Center on prosthetics and rehabilitation for Ukrainians affected by the war.
