Mrs Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, and Lady Victoria Starmer, spouse of the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, met on the sidelines of the NATO Summit. They discussed psychosocial support and mental health issues in the context of medical cooperation between British and Ukrainian specialists. Mrs Zelenska also invited Lady Starmer to the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen. She expressed confidence that Lady Starmer’s voice, as a mother and active participant in her children’s school life, would be valuable in the context of the thematic discussions at the event.
Lady Victoria Starmer is a lawyer by education. She currently works in occupational health for the UK National Health Service, where she is responsible for monitoring staff’s physical and mental health. Mrs Starmer leads a largely private life and is actively involved in administrative and educational matters at her children’s school.
The Fourth First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit will take place on 12 September 2024 in Kyiv and will be dedicated to the theme ‘Protecting Childhood: Ensuring a Safe Future’.
