The Global Platform of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen participated in the Global First Ladies Academy

The Global Platform of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen took part in the Second Global First Ladies Academy, organised by the Global First Ladies Alliance. This event started a new collaboration.

The Second Global First Ladies Academy has become an important event for both the Summit and the Alliance. This platform serves as the ground for exploring new ways of cooperation, increasing the soft power impact of all participants, and getting more opportunities for sharing experiences.

This year’s Academy began with a discussion of First Ladies as change agents and leaders, attended by First Ladies from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

During the event, Brand Finance presented the results of a study on the impact of first ladies and gentlemen on soft power conducted for the Global Platform of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen (SFLG). Brand Finance, one of SFLG’s partners, is the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy.

The presented study showed the components of soft power, the ranking of the most influential countries, and the factors influencing the countries’ images. Brand Finance experts shared how the actions of First Ladies and Gentlemen affect the country’s reputation and economy and demonstrated case studies. 

The SFLG Global Platform is an international initiative that brings together First Ladies and Gentlemen to address global challenges, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska. The SFLG Global Platform addresses issues that require multilateral cooperation and a high level of collaboration between participants worldwide to make the world a better place. On 12 September 2024, the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen will be held in Kyiv as part of the platform, focused on the theme ‘Protecting Childhood: Ensuring a Safe Future’.

The Global First Ladies Alliance is an organisation that helps the world’s First Ladies and Gentlemen to network, implement effective management practices and share experiences. In 2023, the Global Alliance held its first Global First Ladies Academy, a training programme covering topics ranging from leadership and communications to public health.
