Olena Zelenska announces the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen

On 18 June, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska held a press conference to announce the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen. The event will take place in Kyiv on 12 September 2024 and focus on child safety.

The world’s First Ladies and Gentlemen will discuss the dangers and challenges faced by children around the world and the practical solutions that can be implemented here and now to ensure children have a happy and safe childhood. Some First Ladies and Gentlemen have already confirmed their participation in the Summit, but their names have not been disclosed.

The Summit will consist of four main discussion panels: child safety in war, in the family, at school and in the virtual environment. Each of these topics was covered at the press conference by the experts involved: Ombudsman of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets, Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration Valeriya Ionan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.

The results of the study ‘Key Threats to Children’ will also be presented at the Summit.
