Juraj Rizman continues supporting Ukraine

Former First Gentleman of Slovakia (2019–2024) and member of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen Global Platform, Juraj Rizman, continues his dedicated support for Ukraine.

On 27 September, Mr Rizman visited Ukraine for the third time to deliver humanitarian aid to the military — two ambulances and a tanker truck. These missions are part of the initiative of the Slovak NGO Post Bellum SK, where he serves as Director of Communications and Public Relations. During one of these trips, Mr Rizman received a letter of appreciation from Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha in recognition of his volunteering and continued assistance to Ukraine.

Mr Rizman joined the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen Global Platform in 2023, when he took part in the third Summit focused on mental health. Learn more about the Summit here.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Post Bellum SK, together with the Czech organisation Post Bellum, has delivered humanitarian aid to Ukrainian defenders — more than 1,000 pairs of firefighter and military boots, over 6,400 packages of medicines and tactical medical supplies, bulletproof vests, walkie-talkies, and other essential equipment. These efforts have been supported by over €430,000 in donations from Slovak citizens.

Such initiatives exemplify the power of civic solidarity and humanitarian cooperation across borders. Humanitarian aid not only meets urgent needs but also strengthens the shared commitment to dignity, empathy, and mutual support within Europe.
