First Lady of Türkiye Emine Erdoğan meets with First Lady of Mongolia Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj

The First Lady of Türkiye, Emine Erdoğan, and the First Lady of Mongolia, Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj, met in Ankara on 16 January. The meeting was held as part of the official visit of the First Couple of Mongolia to Türkiye.

During the diplomatic meeting, the First Ladies visited the National Library at the Presidential Complex, where they viewed the ‘Anadoludakiler’ (‘Those in Anatolia’) exhibition dedicated to Anatolian cultural heritage, cuisine and crafts. Mrs Erdogan and Mrs Luvsandorj also paid attention to the rare works in the Mongolian section of the library and exchanged gifts.

In addition, the First Ladies enjoyed the beauty of traditional weavings together at the Sof Fabric Fashion Show, which carried the elegance and history of Anatolia, produced by the Turkish Ankara Maturation Institute.

‘I sincerely believe that these visits, blended with culture and art, will further strengthen the bridges of friendship between our countries,’ – the First Lady of Türkiye commented on the visit.

A key event of the meeting was the signing by the First Lady of Mongolia of the Global Zero Waste Commitment, an initiative led by Mrs Erdogan aimed at sustainable development and environmental protection.
