Podcast Premiere: ‘Child Safety in Cyberspace’ dimension now on our YouTube channel

Within the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, held on 12 September 2024 in Kyiv, the KONTENTA audiovisual studio organised the recording of five podcasts featuring First Ladies and Gentlemen, as well as experts from different fields of interest. These podcasts focused on various aspects of the safety and development of children and youth.

The podcast locations showcased visualised landscapes of Ukraine’s natural reserves, preserved in digital format in their untouched state (before the start of military actions in these areas). Among the featured locations were the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve, the Luhansk Nature Reserve, the Crimean Nature Reserve, the Great Meadow National Nature Park, and the Ukrainian Steppe Nature Reserve.

One of the podcasts was dedicated to the theme of child safety in cybersecurity and dealing with new challenges related to the rapid development of the digitisation process. Participants included UNICEF Ukraine youth advisor Anna Vietrova, stand-up comedian and volunteer Vasyl Baidak, and Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Valeriya Ionan.

During the discussion, the participants touched on the following related topics, such as:

• how does state digitalisation work today to create a safer tomorrow for the next generations, including the development of cybersecurity;  
• if artificial intelligence (AI) could replace certain professions and even transform the education system.

Furthermore, the experts discussed what digital skills modern children and youth will need for their jobs in the near future.

According to Valeriya Ionan, the ability to work with artificial intelligence, using it effectively, and master data processing skills are among those that modern generations need to obtain. At the same time, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister emphasised that working with AI tools also requires a number of strong soft skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, and confident communication.
